Welcome to Glass Mermaid Studio. Located on the beautiful Maine Coast, an inspiring place to learn new skills, meet new friends, shop and have fun!

News from the Studio:

Like most years, the studio has been closed for the month of July. Its a time to play, soak up the sun, and find inspiration all around us. This year has been a little different, there has been little rest during this summer's closure! My daughter, Laura, has been leading the charge on a studio renovation! We have pulled 40+ years of art & glass supplies out of the studio to reorganize, restructure, and rebuild with a more creative flow. Laura's husband Dave, is putting the finishing touches on a brand new workbench and storage unit for the studio! We can't wait to share the space with you!

Studio Renovation & Fall Schedule

Here's what to expect:

July

The studio will remain closed while larger projects are being completed.

We are still available by email.

August

August brings an exciting soft opening for the Open Studio Community, giving us a chance to finalize renovations while enjoying the sunniest of summer days.

Stay tuned for our OS schedule, which will be shared via email and posted on our website.

By mid-August the fall class & event schedule will be emailed and posted to the website. Stay tuned, we know that's what you're really after!

Please Note: Open Studio is self-guided time available to anyone who has previously taken a class with Glass Mermaid Studios before who wishes to work on their own projects. Space is limited, signups are on the website.

There are new classes and old favorites happening in the studio! We've added Open Studio for those who have previously taken a class and want to work independently on their own projects. We'd love to have you join us for a class in our studio, or gather some friends or coworkers and we'll help you put together a project just for your group.

Open Studio at Glass Mermaid There is something quietly magical about returning to the studio after your first class. The tools feel more familiar. The colors seem to call to you differently. Open Studio is our invitation to step back into that creative current. Open Studio is available exclusively to those who have previously taken a class with Glass Mermaid. This ensures that everyone in the space understands the fundamentals of safety, studio flow, and proper tool handling
