70 US dollars
Spar Cove Road

Service Description

It's the near the Spring full moon, and the horseshoe crabs should be coming ashore to lay their eggs. Join us at high tide as we search for these beautiful and prehistoric creatures. Depending on the weather we will depart from the studio by boat or foot. We will search for Horseshoe crabs from 11:30-1pm, then come back to the studio or deck for lunch. Class will start at 1:30pm. Let me know when you sign up if you will be joining us for the day or just the class. The morning adventure will depend on the weather and is offered at no additional charge. This class is suitable for all levels of glass experience. The shore near the studio is very muddy and wet, so please come prepared. Please bring your own lifejacket. Note posted start time is for class only. We will meet 2 hours before scheduled time. I will be in touch before the class with further details about the weather and plans for the day.

Cancellation Policy

Please read these policies before booking. Registering for a class means you agree to them. Full payment is required at the time of booking to hold your spot. Classes have limited seating and often sell out. Spots are not held without payment. Refunds/Cancelations: - 7 full days before class: full refund, or transfer to another class date at no charge. - Less than 7 full days before class: Unfortunately, at this point is it hard to fill seats last minute and no refund/credit will be given UNLESS we can fill your spot from someone on the waitlist. We understand emergencies arise and we will try to work with students. - No-shows forfeit the class fee. - If we cancel a class for any reason (low enrollment, weather, kiln issues), you'll receive a full refund or a transfer to a future date. Project Pickup - Your pieces will be ready within a week after class, probably sooner. - We'll email or text you when your work is ready. - Please try to pick up projects ASAP. They will be in the pickup box next to the studio door, outside. - Unclaimed work after 60 days will become property of the studio and may be donated or recycled unless arrangements are made with the studio. - Shipping is available for a fee. About Your Finished Piece - Glass is a living material and firing results vary. Colors may shift slightly, bubbles can form, and edges soften unpredictably in the kiln. These variations are part of the craft, not defects. We can't guarantee an exact match to samples or to your expectations, and finished work is not eligible for refunds or re-firing. In rare cases, a piece may crack or break during firing. If this happens, we'll contact you and to discuss options. Safety & Studio Conduct - Closed-toe shoes are required. No sandals or open shoes. - Avoid loose sleeves or hanging jewelry. - You'll be handling cut glass. Small nicks are possible even with care. - We require eye protection for most aspects of this studio, we provide clean safety glasses, or you may bring your own. - Follow all instructor directions. We reserve the right to ask anyone behaving unsafely, unkindly, or inappropriately (at the discretion of the studio instructor) to leave without a refund.
