What a busy fall this has been so far! Fall classes have been going strong, we had a great turn out for the Freeport Fall Festival and now November & December Classes are open for registration! Perfect for creating handmade ornaments, festive decorations, or heartfelt gifts for someone you love.
Prefer to work at your own pace? We've added more Open Studio hours for returning students to dive into personal projects, finish up gifts, or just enjoy some peaceful, creative time during the busiest season of the year. This is not an instructional class, but rather time to work on your own inspirations, and take advantage of tools and supplies in the studio. Open Studio has become a favorite of ours, the community, the friendship and creative ideas are so inspiring! Spaces are limited, so be sure to register early to secure your spot.

Hanging Spider Web
Add a touch of delicate elegance to your decor in this beginner-friendly glass art workshop! You will learn how to safely cut and arrange flat glass strips and stringers into an intricate, decorative 9x9 spider web. While the web looks complex and fragile, the kiln-firing process fuses the pieces into a sturdy, eye-catching artwork, perfect for hanging in a window!

Explore the beauty of autumn with our 5x7 Fall Fused Panel at Glass Mermaid Studio. This unique piece captures the vibrant colors and textures of fall foliage, crafted with care and artistic flair. Winter Lanterns
Create a stunning four-panel winter birch scene lantern in our Winter Lantern - Fused class at Glass Mermaid Studio! Using cut glass, frit, and paint, you'll craft a unique piece ready for either a real candle or electric light.
This full-day class includes an hour lunch break—bring your own or explore Freeport's local dining gems! Pieces will be available for pick-up later in the week.
TGIF Happy Hour Stir Sticks
Join us at Glass Mermaid Studio for TGIF Happy Hour! We'll be making Cocktail Stir Sticks. BYOB friendly and unleash your creativity while crafting a set of 8 unique stir sticks. (If time allows, additional sticks can be made for an additional cost).

In this holiday-themed glass fusing class, students will create several glass ornaments. Create transparent designs that you can see your tree lights through, or bold opaque ornaments sure to garner some compliments. These glass ornaments also make great gifts. Come try it with a friend. All materials are included. Students will make 2-3 ornaments and will have several designs to choose from. If time allows, extra ornaments can be made for an additional fee.
Candle Votive Set
Create a stunning set of two fused glass candle votives at Glass Mermaid Studio! No experience is needed. We will guide you through the exciting process of cutting, layering, and designing your unique pieces. All materials are included, and your kiln-fired votives will be ready for pickup within the week, just in time for holiday entertaining!
Nautical Ornaments
Nourish your creative holiday spirit and join us for this fun nautical inspired ornament class. In this oceanic themed glass fusing class, students will create 2-3 glass ornaments. Create transparent designs that you can see your tree lights through, or bold opaque ornaments sure to garner some compliments. These glass ornaments also make great gifts. Come try it with a friend.
American Traditional Tattoo Coasters
Create your own set of four vintage sailor-inspired drink coasters in our American Traditional Tattoo class at Glass Mermaid Studio. Plenty of designs to choose from! Perfect for beginners, you'll learn to cut, layer, and design each coaster, bringing characters to life with glass paint and powder.
Gift Making Palooooza!
The weekend after Thanksgiving, when everyone else is out shopping, come avoid the crowds and hand make your own holiday gifts! We'll be doing 1/2 day classes where students can make several pieces to take home! We will be offering Stained Glass Earrings (lead free solder), Stained Glass Pendants (lead free solder), mini fused glass photo frames, and fused glass earrings & pendants!

TGIF Happy Hour Tree Votives
Unleash your creativity at the studio with this fused glass class, designed for all levels! Perfect hostess gift for the holidays. We'll create 3 stunning holiday trees about 5" tall. After firing the trees will be attached to a premade candle votive. Class is BYOB friendly!
Christmas Trees
In this class we will create two stunning fused glass Christmas trees. Perfect for a holiday mantel or windowsill. Suitable for all skill levels, our hands-on workshop will guide you through the process of crafting beautiful, vibrant fused glass that capture the sparkle of the season.
Trees will be approximately 14"and 9" and comes with the wooden stand. Students can customize the colors to match their own decor.
Snowflakes
Create two or three beautiful, fused glass snowflakes. These are the perfect holiday ornament or window suncatcher. No prior experience needed, we will walk you through each step!
Stained Glass Star Candle Holder Set
Create a stunning set of two stained glass candle holder for taper candles. No experience is needed. We will guide you through the exciting process of cutting, foiling, and soldering your unique pieces.
There will be an hour-long lunch break where you can bring your own meal to eat or visit one of the great freeport locations.
